Governor Gavin Newsom

Governor Newsom,

Trump wants to nationalize elections in the United States.  Please consider a few sections of our Constitution.

Article I, The Legislative Branch, Section 4, Elections, Meetings.  Congress has passed laws requiring the states to allow all citizens to vote, but not to control elections.  This leaves control up to the states.

Article II, The Executive Branch.  Proving a negative, that something is not there, is more difficult, but authority to control elections is not there.

Amendment 10, gives election control to the states. Not explicitly, but in the broad intent which is the clear goal of this amendment.

We present two actions to defend our elections from Trump.

First: Take positive and exclusive control of the California National Guard.  Then just say “NO!” to any  and all federal interference.  Be prepared to use the California National Guard to defend our elections.

Second:  Pass laws that prohibit any person or agency not specifically authorized by state official from gathering around or entering any facility for voting, processing, and storing any election information.  They are forbidden to possess or touch any devices used to record votes and all election materials.  Violations of these laws is a state felony subject to immediate arrest and detention.  Trump cannot pardon.

You and our state legislature can write laws to protect elections far better than we can suggest.  Please add the needed details.

Trump will not give up easily.  This will be difficult. Be prepared.

Thank you for saving our democracy,
