I am the owner of this website and bulletin board. I am not very good with social interactions, but, do see that our democracy is in danger. Many places have written about how democracy requires the continuous guidance and influence of its citizens. As I see things, there is currently far too little input from people who desire a true democracy, and too much input from those who want some type of an authoritarian government and from corporations who have no interest in the rights of individual citizens.
This web site, bulletin board, and my actions are my efforts to make things betters. Through this site, maybe we can work together and improve our democracy.
I am a novice at managing websites and bulletin boards. Please endure my mistakes and help me to make things better.

Membership and Free Speech Guidelines
Throughout the history of these United States much has been written and said about freedom of speech. But the term freedom of speech should not encompass anything than anyone wants to say. I suggest that there are categories of speech.
Regarding this board, the more narrow topic is political speech. My current definition is political speech is any action taken to have an effect upon elected officials, appointed officials, legislation, Justice in the form of U.S. Courts, and official actions taken by any government official and all those acting on behalf of government officials and or behalf of any government function.
Whew, a bit long winded, but I think necessary.
Political speech should have some limitations. First and foremost, it should not be anonymous. If you, meaning anyone, are attempting to influence government, then you are attempting to influence my life. If you are not willing to stand up for what you say, then you should not be saying anything.
The immediate relevance is that all prospective members are asked to identify themselves. When joining, this board will, as I figure out how to implement this, ask who you are. What is your legal name and in what state and city do you live?
I expect to be lenient on this at the beginning, but maybe, hopefully, tighten up the requirements as time progresses.
Thank you for your time and patience.
