What The Dog Is Thinking

Have you ever wondered what your dog is thinking?  What might she say if she could tell you?

There is at least one example where her thoughts are quite clear.  We can never be positive, but here is an example where we can be quite accurate.

You: Are you ready for a walk outside?

Your Dog gets very excited and runs back and forth across the house.  She turns and spins multiple times, whines and barks, and probably scratches at the door.  Here is what she is thinking.

SHIT!  SHIT!  SHIT!

I get to go smell some shit.  I get to sniff at what all the dogs left behind.  I get to sniff all the fences, all the plants, all the weeds, and anywhere they might have pooped or peed.  I get to sniff it up my nose, into my lungs, and all the way down to the tip of my tail.  I get to smell every little poop and learn about the dog, or any other animal, who pooped or peed here.  Then, when I am ready, I get to leave my poop for others to sniff.  But I cannot do it all in one place.  I need to spread my poop out all over the world.

SHIT! SHIT! SHIT!

Oh wow, this will be wonderful.

Oh, and by the way, one more thing could make it even better.  See that dog over there.  Let me go over and sniff his butt.  Up real close.  Let me sniff every little flavor, the complete bouquet of his butt.

Just one more thing, don’t let him sniff me.  I get to sniff him, but not be sniffed.

OK then, lets go sniff some shit.

Can we go now? Can we go now?
