Fellow Democrats and citizens,

Since before the 2008 election, Donald Trump has been given extensive coverage in the new media to present his outright lies to the entire nation.  There has been very little coverage noting that much of what he says has been fabrications and outright lies.  We, citizens of these United States, need to correct this problem.  I am making plans to visit the local TV stations and newspapers and ask that they review some of the facts that Trump has misrepresented.

If we build a coalition and visit the news media as a group, rather than as individuals, we will probably experience a better outcome.  So I ask of you, dear readers, two requests.

First: I do not presume to be a good political writer.  Please review what I have written and help me improve it.  With your help, I suspect we can improve the odds of getting some significant media attention.

Second: Let’s gather together as a group and contact the local news media asking them for some space in the papers, and some air time to present some facts that contradict the steady stream of lies from not only Trump, but from much of the Republican party, and many of the elected Republicans.

I have put a copy of this request on my web page.  The home page is www.mbkelly.net and the political page is www.mbkelly.net/politics. A bulletin board was added just a few weeks ago.  Let's begin.

To the news media:

In all the years that Trump has been influencing politics, the news media has given him a free pass to say anything he wants with little to no verification, much less any contradiction.  Please allow us to question and even contradict some of these falsehoods.  Falsehoods that are so great that they do, right now, put our democracy in grave peril.

Please begin with The Big Lie.  Trump falsely calls it the big steal.

Begin with the most important question of all:  What is the evidence?

Trump has not presented one shred of evidence indicating that he should have won the election.  He has not presented any evidence showing there was any election fraud.

Consider some of the evidence that is available.  Trump and his minions filed 62 lawsuits concerning the 2020 election.  Take a look on Wikipedia, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post-election_lawsuits_related_to_the_2020_U.S._presidential_election, and see that he lost all 62 suits.  None of them confirmed any claims there was any election fraud.  NONE OF THEM.  Count them, 62.  He did not lose just some of them, or even most of them.  He lost ALL OF THEM!

To quote from the web page, with footnotes in brackets:  Nearly all the suits were dismissed or dropped due to lack of evidence,[4] and 30 of the lawsuits were dismissed by the judge after a hearing on the merits.[5] Judges, lawyers, and other observers described the suits as "frivolous"[6] and "without merit".[7][8]

The time has long since passed to not just ask the question, but to demand the response:  To Trump and all Republicans:  Show us the evidence!

There are more questions that need to be posed to members of the Republican party, and specifically to elected Republicans.

Does it not bother you that Trump, this person you so loyally support, is a pathological liar?

And yes, this is not just provable, it is proven.  There is no doubt or controversy on this point of fact.  He is a pathological liar.

Does it not bother you that he is a man full of hate?  Just listen to him.  Do you really want these United States to be governed by a platform of hate?

And yes indeed, he represents, and characterizes, the type of hate that put Adolf Hitler into power and resulted in the deaths of between 70 and 85 million people.

He has stated, multiple times, he wants to protect the purity of the American people from the scourges of immigrants.  To quote Trump, exactly: “They are poisoning the blood of our country.”  The purity of our race.  Right from Hitler.  Never mind that almost all of us do indeed trace our ancestry directly back to immigrants.  And I am sure he wants us to ignore the fact that his wife was born in Yugoslavia, and that she is an immigrant.  His wife is a first-generation immigrant.  Direct from across the Atlantic.  Trump, in his own words, is poisoning the blood of our country,

While we are there, and with sincere apologies to this particular young man, he has a son with this immigrant, polluting our bloodline.  It gets worse.  He named this son Barron.  Why did he pick that name? Barron has been a title for many members of the nobility in Great Britain, France, Italy, Spain, and yes, Germany.  These people are often referred to as Lord rather than Barron.  So, …, Mister Trump, father of “Lord Trump,” do you have plans to reinstate nobility if you retake the White House?  Are you planning on overthrowing George Washington and declaring yourself King?

Back to questions for Republicans: Does it not bother you that he is fundamentally dishonest?  (This goes along with being a pathological liar.)  This is evidenced by the fact that he has been involved in over 3,500 law suits.  This can be verified via an article from the ABAJournal, the flagship publication of the American Bar Association, and James D. Ziron, author of the book: Plaintiff in Chief: A Portrait of Donald Trump in 3,500 Lawsuits, published in September 2019.

Trump is now 77.  The book was published in 2019, five years ago, when he was 72.  Presume he started his work at age 22 meaning 50 years of work.  That divides out to an average of 70 lawsuits per year.  For fifty years.  This does bear repetition.  There are only 52 weeks in a year.  This works out to about 5.8 per month, 1.3 per week.  Every week! For FIFTY years!  Vacations and holidays included!

The man is fundamentally dishonest!

So, Republicans, please tell us: Why do you want to elect a man who is truly dishonest and full of hate?
